Danish Mill Drive Shafts – Main Rotor Shafts

These cylindrical steel pieces form the backbone (main shaft) responsible for receiving mechanical motion from the pulley and motor and transmitting it directly to precisely rotate the internal grinding stones. They are manufactured in varying lengths and sizes to accommodate mills of different capacities (such as the popular 300, 400, and 500 sizes). These shafts feature geometrically distributed crossholes and grooves that act as channels to lubricate the internal bearings, preventing friction and excessive heat generation. These holes also provide secure mounting points for the pins and bolts that lock the grinding stone, preventing it from loosening during rapid rotation and heavy loads.
